The Founder
Daniel William Diamonds begins with Daniel — a second-generation jeweler who grew up inside the diamond trade. For more than forty years, his family has worked the side of the business customers never see: importing diamonds and manufacturing fine jewelry for the retail jewelers who sold it under their own names.
Growing up in that world teaches you two things. The first is what quality actually looks like, because the trade judges a stone by what it is — not by the lighting, the velvet box, or the story attached to the price tag. The second is how much of a ring's retail price has nothing to do with the ring: the markups collected every time a diamond changes hands on its way from the cutting floor to the counter.
In 2013, Daniel founded Daniel William Diamonds to close that gap — to take the family's sourcing relationships, its Los Angeles workshop, and four decades of craftsmanship, and put them directly in the hands of the person buying the ring. No middlemen. No pressure. Just the diamond, the work, and an honest price.
Thousands of engagement rings later, the idea hasn't changed. Neither has the standard: every piece still passes through the same hands that built our reputation in the trade — our own.

Every piece we sell is designed and manufactured in Los Angeles using recycled precious metals. Our jewelers cast, set, polish, and inspect each piece before it ships — the same standard of workmanship our wholesale reputation was built on.

Our Diamonds
Natural diamonds. Every natural diamond we sell is certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the most respected grading authority in the industry. That standard extends to details most retailers never mention: even our melee — the small accent stones that surround a center diamond — is held to strict quality requirements.
Lab-grown diamonds. For those who prefer them, we offer lab-grown diamonds: real diamonds, identical in composition and brilliance to mined stones, at a different price point. Each is graded by GIA or IGI — the leading independent laboratories for lab-grown certification — and set with the same care in the same Los Angeles workshop.
Ethical sourcing. Every diamond we offer comes with our Conflict-Free and Responsibly Sourced Guarantee. We purchase only through legitimate channels, in full compliance with the Kimberley Process and United Nations resolutions — so the stone that marks the best moment of your life never funded the worst of someone else's.
